Crystallization - Introduction

Crystallization is Grace Hye's next artistic NFT project to be minted on the Stacks blockchain. It will be based in a series of around ten physical paintings and like all her previous works, the Crystallization artworks will be very rich in symbolism and metaphors, with a depth that remains to be discovered after a first level of reading.

With this project the artist wants to explore the rules of language in order to create a new code for expressing human emotions; in this collection, ink and resin have become the medium through which she seeks to communicate with her collectors about the essence of life. The nature and character of people will be expressed in the geometric shapes and colours of minerals or in the fluid movement of flowers. Inside all of the paintings there is a gemstone shining in various colours like an opal, different colours represent the diversity within us. The resin bricks are sometimes transformed into walls that will protect an emotion, but they can also become ladders that will give access to a whole new level of feelings.

Crystallization is both the long process that will decant the experience that defines us and the gaze on a world of feelings that often remains in the dark.

As always happen when human actions are involved, the completion of the paintings is just the beginning of the journey and this time we will share the path together as a community. There will be some risks to be taken, surprises and also unexpected rewards down the road. There might also be misunderstanding because we all have different goals and expectations but that will be overcome trough our common language of love.

Crystallization will be a small collection, around ten pieces. Grace Hye understands that this reduced size will make the project very exclusive, which might be quite a contrast against the current NFT standards. Grace Hye loves NFT technology and is willing to take the risk to explore different approaches. She knows that these new technologies are able to open the door to brand new worlds and are helping to redefine what we consider art and culture but she also believes it's very important to create bridges between the metaverses and our in real life world. That's the reason why every NFT will come with its exclusive physical painting. Some time after minting, Grace Hye will be posting the physical painting to the holders of the NFTs. The NFT and the painting will be forever entangled and you could consider the NFT as the certificate of authenticity of your artwork.

Ryder team has got some ideas about how to enforce the entanglement between NFTs and physical objects, it would be really cool to be able to apply them to this collection but this is not yet the right time; for sure it will be something to keep in mind for coming artworks.
