Zero Authority DAO Presents: Kaylee.btc

One would be hard pressed to find someone who embraces the Zero Authority DAO ethos, which is to say the Bitcoin ethos, more than Kaylee.btc. There are no barriers to entry within this space that exist beyond the individual. Once someone understands Bitcoin what they do with that information is the only thing that matters.

Kaylee.btc is a powerful Stacks community member who consistently churns out fantastic content via her creation Jrny Into Web3, a multimedia platform that allows the community to keep its fingers on the pulse of the Stacks ecosystem. Kaylee.btc is an amazing content creator, and a great writer. With that in mind the bulk of this piece has really been composed by the subject of the interview. I asked Kaylee some questions and simply cannot communicate her responses any better than she did.

The Interview

  1. What is the background and how long have you been into crypto?

    • I first found out about Bitcoin in December 2020 right before the global coronavirus pandemic. I had no idea, what Bitcoin was but it was all over my Twitter timeline. I did what anyone would do and started looking for answers. I got an invite to join Clubhouse and joined every single Bitcoin room imaginable. That’s where I finally found answers. Clubrooms like Swan Bitcoin’s Cafe Bitcoin and the Black Bitcoin Billionaires gave me books and resources to fully understand Bitcoin. Although I have been an avid Bitcoiner since 2020, I am still constantly learning new possibilities that Bitcoin offers to the world.

    • In 2021, I changed my major from Nursing to Accounting & Finance. I realized that Bitcoin was something that I wanted to spend the rest of my life focused on. It changed the way I thought and everyday life. I spent all of high school with healthcare and medicine in mind, I went through a Biomedical Technology Magnet program, participated in prestigious internships and medical programs, and had my eyes set on becoming a Registered Nurse specializing in Clinical research. All of that changed once I found out about Bitcoin and fell down the rabbit hole.

  2. Why Stacks?

    • I didn’t know Stacks existed until November/December of 2021. I was listening to the Gentlemen of Crypto on YouTube and heard Isaiah Jackson talk about NFTs secured by Bitcoin. I was in shock because I had no idea Bitcoin offered smart contract scalability, let alone NFTs. I immediately did what I always do and looked into Stacks. I followed Stack's official Twitter account and saw NFT projects with discords. I knew what discord was and figured it was a good place to start and talk to people who actually owned these NFTs.

    • The first servers that I joined were the CrashPunks, Bitcoin Monkeys, and Megapont Ape Club discord servers. I saw something in those discords that I didn’t quite understand at first which was community. As time went on, I was able to learn how important and special the Stacks community truly was. People were not intrinsically motivated by ROI/profit but by actual memorable experiences of being in a community. People helping each other

  3. What skills can you bring to a team building Web3 on Stacks?

    • I think mindset and skillset are important, personally, I am an outgoing, personable, adaptable, resourceful, and hyper-focused person. I do things that motivate me based on passion.

    • Most of the work that I do directly helps the community or uplifts it to some extent. It’s the best part, to be a part of something bigger than just yourself where everyone can come together as one. It's almost like a family barbeque, everyone brings their own wonderful meals and positive attitudes to share with one another.

    • If there's a problem, people are diligent and resourceful enough to help find a solution for it, not just to help themselves but for the sake of the community.

  1. Tell me about what you are working on now.

    • I created the JRNY discord, where anyone who is a beginner or intermediate learner in the Web 3.0 space can come together. Jrny holds weekly Twitter Spaces events with Web 3.0 organizations, projects, platforms, and speakers. Also, Jrny releases newsletters every week on Bitcoin & Web3 news.

    • The goal is to help bridge the gap between Bitcoin & Web 3.0 communities.

The Takeaway

Like I said, I cannot think of a better example of the driving ethos behind Zero Authority DAO than Kaylee.btc. I find myself completely unsurprised that when Kaylee found Zero Authority she became an active part of that community, and signed up as a content creator in the Cerulean Marketplace.

There are many wannabes and grifters flocking to the Web3 space because they sense opportunity for themselves. They lack the passion, experience, understanding, and conviction that I would personally want from someone who I was trusting to teach me about this revolutionary technology. The framework they exist in is one where they try to bend this new paradigm to their comfortable ways of doing things.

Kaylee.btc is the real deal. If I was a newbie to Bitcoin and Web3 I know who I would want to have in my corner.

When you understand Bitcoin vs Fiat

When you understand Web3 vs Web2

When you understand the distinction between what Kaylee.btc brings to the table, vs the wannabes

Then you understand the 'why' of Zero Authority DAO

As always thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed it. A like, follow, and retweet goes far (don't forget to follow Kaylee.btc, Jrny Into Web3, and Zero Authority DAO if you don't already)
