NOTE. This is an article in progress. You will find the description of 4 'personas' that we would love to use our webApp Smartists. We wondered what Smartists could do for them, and what kind of license would each of them be ready to provide with some of their NFTs?... These lines will be updated with the answers to these questions we will gather over time. You can help us on our research and find out the best solutions by commenting in our Forum.
Alice is a tech person, involved in building the web3 and the new opportunities it opens in terms of business.
She has started building her own collection of NFTs and feels part of that new market. She likes her tokens, although she has not paid much attention to their authors. She knows their value lies in the brand, so she is guessing some of her collectibles might become valuable assets in the future.
She is not interested in using them beyond re-selling them and benefit from secondary markets.
She has used some of them as profile pictures, and she has even showed them in her website…
arteNOVA is looking to bring new cultural experiences to the Country.
Apart from showcasing some NFTs images, they want to play music in their headquarters. This is a commercial activity since this is a special fundraising event open to any contributor. The organiser is considering a selection of artworks and music to buy them as Genuine NFTs. They are also planning a fundraiser with the NFTs.
They are planning an experience including a LIVE performance and food. The images and NFTs will be used as a background.
They just need to DISPLAY, so far. However, they know that they can contact with the author/creator of any piece to ask for an additional license in case they want to print some booklets or posters.
ARTEcafé is looking to bring new cultural experiences in their franchises.
Apart from their rebranding, they want to buy some exclusive NFTs images, they also want to premiere music from famous artists in their Coffee Shops. This is all part of a commercial activity, a new way for their customers to be surrounded by special visual artworks and music curated by the brand… They are considering limiting this experience to happy hours, reserved for subscribers to the service.
For this new experience, ARTEcafé is considering a selection of artworks and music to buy them as Genuine NFTs, but they will need to make copies to be used by the brand in their different franchises.
They will need the Tokens and the Masters, yet they will use them as they are, never changing nor adapting them. Anyway, they know that they can contact with the author of any piece to ask for an additional license in case they want to print some booklets or posters.
