FIRST TOURNAMENT RECAP

In the beginning, 16 players have been registered for the tournament, as it will be in the following one. 4 Different maps for 4 different rounds, with a lot of excitement and drama. Even if C043y.btc was the winner, the spotlight has been on GoldenPepe for two different rounds. In his match against BowTiedFellow, the later managed to get a record breaking score. Problem was, that happened 2 minutes after the deadline, so GP managed to move forward, ending up in the finals. That’s where he met C043y, and little did he know that karma is a B***H. After C043y leading the finals the whole day, something happened! GP was extremely excited of him getting the highest score, only to have his happiness shattered by BowTiedDeployer who announced that history repeated itself: GoldenPepe finished his winning race 3.46 seconds after the race had ended. 24 full hours, only to lose at a difference of 3 minutes. But the community loved it, and so did GP, who showed great sportsmanship and applauded C043y for his win. 10/10 community 10/10 drama. Things to remember out of this: Please always make sure to reserve enough time for the gameplay. MINTING IS LIVE

With the game launched and the first tournament completed, the public minting is now open for both the Miami Degens collection and the New York Degens Collection! Both are available for minting on the STXNFT marketplace. There will only ever be 420 in each collection! Links to mint both are provided below:

New York Degens can be minted with Stacks, MiamiCoin, or NYCCoin. At the time of writing this, paying with CityCoin provides the most bang for your buck. You may mint 1, 3, 5, or 69 at once. For Miami Degens, you may only mint one at a time, and with Stacks only. Which Degen resonates the most with you? Let us know!

UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS

Miami Degens are skeletons riding in Lambos, and New York Degens are aliens riding in Bentleys, and although they have their different attributes, they both drive the same in the game! Both Degen collections will compete against each other in the bracket-style weekly tournaments based on who registers in time, and the three best Degens from each collection will face off at the end of the month for the monthly championship! The prizes for the weekly tournaments as of now is 100 STX to first place and 50 STX to second place. The prizes for the monthly championship as of now will be 200 STX to first place, 100 STX to second place, and 50 STX to third place. There will also be badges for weekly first place winners that will be assigned to your Degen and displayed on the leaderboard. Those who place and win a prize in the monthly champion will also get their own unique badges. And don’t forget there will be a prize for the Degen Degen, the most degen of all Degens, the one who clocks the most time this month playing the game! The Degen Degen will get their very own Stacks Degen that they may use in future races!

GAME ADAPTATIONS

Over the next month and now that the first tournament has completed and Degen Holders have been able to test the game, we would really appreciate some feedback from you, the community, on how you believe the gameplay could improve. We are already working to include sounds, and we will update you all as we make more headway on getting a multiplayer game set up. But this is a reminder that our dev wizard is able to modify virtually anything in the game. We will not be making any drastic changes without community go-ahead. But we have the ability to create special maps, adjust speed and turning, change length and width of roads, add and accentuate turns (or vice versa), modify frequency and speed of cars on the road, and more. If you believe you have a great idea, feel free to mention it in the ideas and suggestions channel and a team member will take a look at it! We have planned mini-games that Degen Holders will be able to play to demonstrate out-of-the-box things we can do in the game, so stay tuned!
