STX:LDN brings an in-person Stacks community to the UK!

Welcome to STX:LDN!

Hey Stackers, Bitcoiners and everyone in between!

Nat here, Co-founder of NFT Clothing Club and STX:LDN. Some of you may know me in the community as Atlas, or maybe from my Twitter profile?!

I have been a part of the Stacks community for around a year now, and much more active within recent months, learning, networking and contributing to the community daily.

I have been in the Bitcoin/Blockchain/Crypto space for a number of years now as an independant consultant and educator, teaching about Bitcoin in layman's terms, to newcomers.

I have found the Stacks Blockchain community, to be one of the most engaing, pro active and Bitcoin focused communities I have ever experienced in the space and it's alliegence to Bitcoin is remarkable!

After all, a majority of the Stacks community are Bitcoiners at heart!

I'm not saying by any means, that there is anything wrong with other Bitcoin-focused communities. I mean isn't expanding the attention to and usage of Bitcoin a common goal for Bitcoiners everywhere?

So why STX:LDN?

Due to my history and position in the space, I attend and have attended many crypto events, both here in the UK and abroad. Whilst concentrating on other things Stacks related, I realised that there was not the biggest presence for Stacks in the UK, at least not events-wise anyways.

Thinking about how big the scene is for Bitcoin and crypto in the UK, it's kind of a shame that a Bitcoin-centric solution like Stacks appeared to have very little presence or representation at events here.

From my time spent in the Stacks community, I continue to meet great Stacks project founders and stackers who are based here, not saying who, with respect to privacy, but again, no events...no meetups, no conferences, no booths. Why not?!

So, along with the founders of NFT Clothing Club, we put together a team and the concept of STX:LDN, with some help and encouragement from Stacks community members, to bring STX:LDN to life!

What is STX:LDN?

As stated on our website:

STX:LDN is a Stacks Blockchain advocates meetup group organising Bitcoin & Stacks educational events in and around London, UK.

However, this is only the beginning for STX:LDN.

Without going into too much, STX:LDN is intended to be a long-term community for the Stacks ecosystem in the United Kingdom and with an intended level of interest and support, something even greater...but we'll get into that soon!

What can I expect to discover at STX:LDN?

As STX:LDN is intended to support the Stacks Blockchain community, many of the presentations, speakers, NFT's and workshops will be from Stacks-based projects, developers, communities and more...

Due to the affinity of Stacks to Bitcoin, attendees can also expect the same from Bitcoin advocates, projects and businesses, including Bitcoin basics for individuals new to Bitcoin.

How can I get rewards?

Once reward programmes are available, we will notify those on our early member mailing list.

When is the next STX:LDN event?

Our inaugural event is on 6th July, 2022 at GiGi's Hoxton, London N1 6NU.

The event, in partnership with NFT Clothing Club, will focus more on NFT Fashion, Art and Music from speakers and creators across the crypto space, as well as featuring Stacks-based projects!

The evening will explore Stacks' relationship to Bitcoin and some of its key features, including a Q&A.
