The Ordinal Story

If I’m being honest with myself, I’m not much of a tech guy.  It tends to be too much for me to keep up with all at once.  NFT Projects galore, news about advancements in Artificial Intelligence daily, and new technologies on bitcoin, how do people have the time?

As overwhelming as it can be though, I find myself continuously fascinated by the work that’s being accomplished.  The dedication of developers and degens alike blows my mind.  These are the people who are genuinely making the world a better place, one feature at a time.

Plot Twist

I’m not much of a tech guy, but what I do love are stories.  Stories that are made up, and stories that are true.  In fact, I think we’re all just telling one big story altogether; that’s just what life is.

I’ve heard many arguments about the story that we’re telling right now in the crypto space, the Ordinal Story.  So here’s a different story that I think we need to hear at the moment (by the way this is ChatGPT’s writing):

“Once upon a time, in a world where creativity was the most valuable resource, there lived a guild of creators. These creators were known for their ability to make anything and everything, from beautiful paintings and intricate sculptures to machines that could perform the most complicated tasks.

However, not all of the things the creators made were wonderful. Some of their creations were broken and caused harm to the world and its inhabitants. But despite this, the guild of creators continued to make things, for they knew that in order to create something truly magnificent, they had to take risks and sometimes make mistakes.

The rest of the world, however, did not understand this. They criticized the creators for the bad things they made, not realizing that it was these very same creators who were responsible for the comfort and peace they enjoyed. The creators were often seen as a danger to the world, and many called for them to be stopped.

Despite the criticisms and calls for their banishment, the guild of creators persisted. They continued to walk blindly into the unknown, driven by their passion for creation. And it was this bravery that ultimately saved them all.

One day, a great darkness fell upon the world, threatening to destroy everything in its path. The rest of the world was powerless against this darkness, but the guild of creators sprang into action. They worked tirelessly, using their creativity and ingenuity to build machines and weapons to fight against the darkness.

And in the end, it was their bravery and unwavering determination that saved the world from destruction. The guild of creators had proven their worth, and the rest of the world finally understood the value of their creations, both good and bad.

From that day on, the guild of creators was celebrated as heroes, and the rest of the world revered them for their bravery and creativity. And the guild of creators continued to make things, walking blindly into the unknown and creating a brighter future for all.

But the guild member understood on important thing. They knew one day, given enough time, the world would forget, the darkness would return, and they would be required to persevere as was their duty and responsibility once again.”

The Point

The point that I’m trying to get to is that I’m interested in Ordinal inscriptions because they mean something.  They’re the next interesting piece of the puzzle to build.  We can’t know for certain what will happen, but in the long run I think building on Bitcoin is a great idea.

So, in the spirit of the creators, I’m releasing a series of “Ordinal Pigeons.”  As an artist and a blockchain enthusiast, I’m in way over my head and winging every second of it to the best of my ability (just like everyone else on this frontier).  But I’m here for the waves that the builders are making.  They’re the waves of history in the making and I’m just riding.

Here’s to the Builders

So here’s to the Creators, the Doers, and the Makers!  These Pigeons are for you.  Keep pushing forward for us.

Below is a list of a few of the organizations or projects that I’ve been watching live out the story by pushing to the very edge of what is possible with blockchain technology.  Check them out and jump on the wave with us, it’s well worth it.

I’m well aware that there are countless others, and you’re all welcome to reach out.  These are the few that I’ve been watching specifically create infrastructure that I’ve enjoyed using personally:

Gamma.io

Neoswap.ai

Xverse Wallet

Satoshibles

Nonnish Kingdom

Go check these folks out!  You won’t regret it.
