Cannabis and art go hand in hand. It’s the depth of appreciation that cannabis can help you to feel, as well as the expansion of the definition of what art personally means. For me, great art is any form of expression that comes from the heart that has been practiced to the point of mastery and I admire anyone following their path to mastery - a shitload of courage is required. And art isn’t just limited to painting, music, literature, and dance. It includes so much more, business, relationships, fashion, sport, technology, and any passion driven creation.

And maybe why cannabis and art goes hand in hand is because of the influence the plant has on our own individual creativity. If you were to look to the science, the research is providing mixed results about the effect that cannabis has on human creativity. Sharing my experience as nothing more than a single human experiment (maybe not exactly valid and reliable under academic conditions): cannabis heightens creativity, but we as humans have the choice to channel what we’re receiving via the imagination, and we are under no obligation to share if we don’t want to (although I think humanity needs our passion channelled creations).

The most primal act of creation is in the sexual experience, and I believe that one of the primary purposes that cannabis is growing on the planet is specifically for this purpose. The intention for consuming cannabis in this way is literally to create, express, and MAKE love…which is a highly respectful intention we can set for an experience with cannabis.

And at a fundamental level, is the time that we spend expressing and making love not the most productive act we could possibly in engage in? Thank you cannabis for teaching me to connect and realign with my values.
