But peace did not always reign in Nonnish. The kingdom was constantly under threat from the Grafter horde.

“…it’s a pint-sized skittering about s**t eating thing. They roam about the massive, noxious Grafter pies, looking to gorge themselves on the Grafter-digested mushrooms. They also serve as caretakers of the Grafter hives and are integrated within, handling the cleaning and waste disposal, as well as hunting various sources of meat…”
It was no secret the Grafters had been raiding Nonnish for years, pillaging villages, stealing mushrooms, and destroying everything in their path. Drog had always stayed out of the conflict, focusing instead on his mead-making business.
That day the Grafters attacked his village everything changed. Drog had watched in horror as the Grafters destroyed his home, consumed and then burned his mead barrels, and killed many of his long-time friends in the community.
During that moment, the piece inside of Drog snapped which held him back from engaging in the gore. His home was in ruins and the death of his friends hit him hard. Drog vowed with a laser-eyed fury that he would no longer sit on the sidelines while his kingdom was destroyed.
After some time Drog began to plan to take up arms against the Grafters. He may have been a mead crafter, but he was also skilled with his magical axe. He had spent years practicing and honing his axemanship in his mead craft, and the Grafters would soon hear a new name on the wind. Drog the Dwarf was going to chop some necks, Drog was a force to be reckoned with as they would soon learn.
