The Nonnish Mead Festival was the most anticipated event of the year, a celebration of all things mead and a time for people from all over the kingdom to come together and enjoy the finest meads the land had to offer.
The festival was held in the heart of the kingdom, in a sprawling marketplace that had been transformed into a vibrant and bustling hub of activity. Booths and stalls lined the streets, offering an endless array of meads, food, and crafts for visitors to peruse and enjoy.
The air was always filled with the sound of laughter and music, as bards and minstrels serenaded the crowds with songs of love, adventure, and heroism. People danced and sang, lost in the joy and revelry of the occasion.
But the real highlight of the festival was ever the mead itself. Every mead maker in the kingdom would come to showcase their best brews, each vying for the coveted title of "Best Mead of the Festival".
One could always expect meads of every kind, from sweet and fruity to dry and spicy. Some were infused with exotic spices like ginger and cardamom, while others featured the rich flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and caramel.

Visitors would sample each mead, savoring the complex and varied flavors that each had to offer. They would sip and swirl, marveling at the intricate blend of honey, fruit, and spices that danced on their tongues.
As fate would have it, Drog received an invitation to participate in the next great annual festival. The festival was a big deal, and Drog knew that he needed to prepare for it months in advance. But as usual, he put it off until the last minute.
However, Drog had a bit of a problem. He was a terrible procrastinator. He would put off everything until the very last minute, and this often caused him problems in his business. He would leave the bottling until the day before a big festival, or he would wait until the last minute to gather the honey he needed for his mead.
Despite his procrastination, Drog's mead business continued to thrive. His mead was just too good to pass up, and people were willing to overlook his quirks.
As the festival drew nearer, Drog began to panic. He had not bottled any mead, and he had not ordered the honey he needed. He frantically searched for a solution to his problem, but he could not find one.
On the day of the festival, Drog arrived empty-handed. He was embarrassed and ashamed, but he decided to make the best of the situation. He offered to help the other mead makers with their booths and even offered to share his knowledge of mead-making with the festival-goers.
To his surprise, the festival-goers loved him. They loved his stories and his passion for mead-making. They even invited him to participate in next year's festival.
The day turned into night, and the festival took on a new life, with fires blazing and lanterns glowing in the darkness. The music grew louder, the laughter more raucous, and the mead flowed even more freely.
People drank and danced, lost in the magic of the moment, knowing that they were part of something special. They were part of a tradition that stretched back centuries, a celebration of life, love, and the magic of mead.
As the festival drew to a close, people stumbled out of the marketplace, happy and content, their bellies full of the finest mead the kingdom had to offer. They knew that they would return again next year, to revel in the joy and magic of the Nonnish Mead Festival once again.
Drog learned his lesson (ish). He began to plan ahead more often, and he mostly stopped procrastinating. His mead business continued to thrive, and he became known not only for his mead but also for his generosity and kindness.
In the end, Drog realized that the key to success was not just making great mead, but also being there for others. And he continued to live by that philosophy to this day, except for Grafters, he flubbin hates Grafters.

Note that Drog stories in the land of Nonnish may diverge from the actual Nonnish lore and history. Ugh, fan art, am I right!!
