RAMEN TIME 🍜

It is “freezing” here in Arizona so it is time to give Ramen a go! This time I stopped at the Ja Ramen in Tucson where they serve a variety of ramen and other Japanese treats. Ramen is a delicious heavy soup consisting of lots of noodles, vegetables, spices, and a type of meat.

The ramen pictured here is the Spicy Tonkotsu, which is a Japanese word for “Pork Bones”. The preparation takes over 18 hours! The ingredients are rather common which include pork, one egg, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, fried onions and spices. The bowl can literally be a shot of carbs and fat. That said, it is good comfort food if you are in the mood for a heavy broth.

For tonight, Ramen was exactly what my body needed to stay warm!
