Hiking The Falls

I get it, sometimes the gym is not an option. Perhaps you are traveling, taking a break or maybe the gym isn’t for you at all. Do not worry. If you are more of an outdoor person versus a gym rat, the world is your friend. It offers almost infinite possibilities to get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. From simple activities like taking a walk, climbing steps, running or even harder ones like cycling or hiking, the outdoors are there with almost limitless possibilities.

Picture above is the Tanque Verde Falls Trail which is a very popular trail in Tucson, Arizona. The hike down to the river bed is and tot he fall is about 1.9 miles long, which isn’t necessarily hard to complete. The water level in the river bed and fall depend a lot on the amount of rain fall and the amount of snow in the nearby mountains. Something curious about this site is the amount of sand accumulated in one end of the river side which creates a small beach area. So bring your bathing suit if you feel like enjoying the sun and jumping in freezing water! As with any other hike, plan ahead and check the weather. More information on All Trails.
